Kiteboarding these days

Back in November, we can thank the boys down in Bermuda (a wee vacation) for the motivation to go purchase a kite. Nothing like the winter to keep us busy with iceboating and now kiteboarding as well. Purchased a 10.5 m^2 made by Naish… Awesome video to come shortly!

New Sailing Video Added

The latest sailing installment has been added to the net and is appearing in our feature video slot… and soon to be added to our Vids page.

These boats are called i14’s and there are quite a few of them in Alberta being sailed competitively. They are 14 feet long, 6 feet wide, and carry lots of sail area for the size of boat. Sailing i14’s involve stamina, strength, and agility in order to sail the boat to its full potential.

Cottage Magazine Article, Nov/Dec

This is a shout out to Desiree and Dale of Cottage Magazine for coming up with a great two page spread in regards to what can be done at the cabin during the cold winter months. Thanks guys! Hopefully this promotes the sport of iceboating at least a little bit.

Iceboating season has been bunk thus far, but hopefully Feb/March begins to see some improvement.

Finally got a chance to put a bit about us up on the ‘About’ page.

“Speed Specialists is dedicated to connecting the film industry with specialized talent in unique high-speed and aesthetic sports.”

Now on to the showcase and Skunkworx.

There will also soon be some more content in regards to Sailing and Human Powered Vehicles that we’ve got access to through Pedal The Ocean’s Greg K.

A bit premature, but we’ve added a pics page interface with a sampling of photos. Once this section has been populated with sufficient content, we will then move on to the vids page… and then finally start working on the sections within ’showcase’ and ’skunkworx’.

Welcome to speedspecialists.com, the new official home of Concept 3 Inc. and the Speedspecialists.

Over the next few days this web site will continue to grow to showcase specialized sports including Sailing, Iceboating, and everything in between. We’ve built this web site with a bunch of cool features. We’ve create a full Web Log and will be uploading a full Media Gallery shortly on the Pics page. We also have an entire division of the web site dedicated to our creative Skunkworx area and will continue to update it with new projects as they are created.
